The first thing to mention is that these are very slightly oversize, i would say my size nines supplied were probably nine and a half. This leaves plenty of room to wear a thick pair of socks in the cold so is pretty much perfect in my opinion. They look fine, in as much as rubber boots are pretty unlikely to be making much of a fashion statement and have a good tread on the soles. Nicely lined and so fell warm on your feet. They so have a fairly strong smell when you remove the packaging which hopefully will wear off but may be a bit off-putting if you store them in an enclosed space. I don't live in an area that is particularly prone to very bad weather so its hard to judge the longevity at this point but they are ideal for wading through wet long grass in the garden. Not the cheapest but certainly not the most expensive either. When making the comparison I was surprised how much you might actually pay for high end 'branded' rubber boots. Actually I was amazed there was such a thing buts that's my age showing!.

At a third of the price of the famous camel brand these are almost but not quite as good but jeez they are much better value. I usually bust a pair of Le Camel every six months and bought these as an experiment. They are still going strong after at least a hundred days wear. The footbed isn't as nicely formed but I added an ortho gel liner so no big deal. They are not as heavily insulated as my older camels but they are by no means cold although this year has been mild and I've only worn them out in -5°. I will buy more. Sizing was accurate. I usually take an 8, bought an 8 and they are comfy. Have a great day from one Scotsman to all my fellow world citizens.
